About us

What FraudGuard Recovery & Cyber Safety is - and is not

We are an independent private service providing fraud recovery guidance, cyber safety education and evidence support. Being explicit about our limits is part of how we protect the people who come to us.

Independent service. FraudGuard Recovery & Cyber Safety is an independent private service. We are not a law enforcement agency, government body, bank, regulator or law firm, and we have no government affiliation. We do not guarantee the recovery of lost funds. Outcomes depend on the circumstances of each case and on the institutions involved.

Our mission

Fraud victims are usually left to work out complex processes alone, at the worst possible moment, while being targeted a second time by people promising guaranteed recovery.

Our purpose is to reduce that confusion. We provide clear, ordered guidance on what to do after fraud, help people document what happened in a way institutions can act on, and teach the security practices that prevent the next incident.

We are deliberately transparent about the limits of a private service. Where a matter belongs with a bank, a regulator, a court or the police, we say so and point you to the official channel rather than implying we can act in their place.

Our methodology

  1. 1. Intake

You submit a case assessment describing what happened. We collect the minimum information needed to understand the incident.

  2. 2. Review

A reviewer reads the account, identifies the fraud pattern, and notes what evidence exists and what is missing.

  3. 3. Guidance

You receive structured guidance: immediate steps, what to ask your bank or provider, and which official channels apply to you.

  4. 4. Documentation

We help you organize a timeline, an evidence index and a reference log that institutions can act on.

  5. 5. Referral

Where appropriate we point you to the official authority, regulator or ombudsman for your country. Decisions rest with them.

Our limitations

Read this list carefully. Any organization that claims otherwise should be treated with suspicion - including anyone claiming to be us.

  • We are not law enforcement and have no investigative or enforcement powers
  • We cannot freeze accounts, seize funds, subpoena records or compel any institution to act
  • We do not provide legal representation or regulated financial advice
  • We cannot guarantee the recovery of lost funds, in any amount or timeframe
  • We do not take custody of your money and never ask you to send funds to unlock a balance
  • We do not access your accounts, and we never ask for credentials or remote access

We never ask for credentials. We will never ask for your passwords, PINs, one-time codes, seed phrases, private keys, full card numbers or remote access to your devices. Anyone who does is not acting on our behalf. Read our Anti-Impersonation Policy.
