How FraudGuard collects, uses, stores and protects personal data, the lawful bases we rely on, retention periods and your data rights.
Last updated: February 2026
1. Our approach
FraudGuard Recovery & Cyber Safety collects the minimum personal data needed to review a case and provide guidance. We do not sell personal data, and we do not use case data for advertising.
2. Data we collect
We do not ask for and do not want passwords, PINs, one-time codes, seed phrases, private keys or full card numbers. Do not include them in any submission.
- Account data: email address and, if you provide it, your name
- Case data: the description of your incident, country, fraud type, dates, amounts, payment methods, providers and reference numbers you choose to share
- Evidence files you upload voluntarily
- Correspondence you send to us
- Limited technical data required to operate and secure the service
3. Why we process it
- To review your case and provide guidance you requested (contract and legitimate interests)
- To publish a client experience only where you have given explicit, recorded consent
- To keep records for accountability and to detect misuse or impersonation
- To comply with legal obligations that apply to us
4. Sharing
We share case information with a third party only where you ask us to, where you have consented, or where we are legally required to. We do not transfer case data to marketing partners.
We use infrastructure providers to host the website, database and file storage under contractual confidentiality and security obligations.
5. Security
- Data is transmitted over encrypted connections
- Evidence files are stored in a private, access-controlled bucket, not on a public URL
- Database access is restricted by row-level security so you can only see your own cases
- Administrative access is limited to authorised reviewers and is logged
6. Retention
Case records and evidence are retained while your case is active and afterwards only for as long as needed for accountability and legal purposes, then deleted or anonymised. You may request earlier deletion, subject to any legal obligation to retain specific records.
7. Your rights
To exercise a right, contact privacy@fraudguard-recovery.example. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
- Access a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Request deletion of data we no longer need
- Withdraw consent, including consent to publish a client experience
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Complain to your national data protection authority
8. Children
The service is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has submitted data, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Changes
We will update this policy when our practices change and will revise the date shown above.
